High Pressure Steam Boiler

Engineering for high-pressure steam systems.

For this project, R-Tech Design was engaged to develop the complete engineering of an industrial high-pressure steam boiler in collaboration with Jacobs.

Based on the available P&IDs, we developed the complete 3D design, piping engineering, production and fabrication drawings, and the associated isometric drawings. The goal was to realize a technically reliable installation that fully met the applicable design criteria and the client's specifications.

The technical challenge

High-pressure steam systems are among the most critical installations within industrial process environments.

The combination of high temperatures and high pressures causes thermal expansion that can result in significant stresses on piping systems. Correct design of expansion loops, pipe supports, and attachment points is therefore essential for a safe and reliable installation. Carefully designed support for the piping is also crucial to prevent unwanted loads on the installation.

During this project, we carried out the necessary expansion studies and developed a design that fully complied with the technical requirements and applicable standards.

From engineering to realization

After approval of the design, R-Tech Design also supported the execution phase of the project.

We provided technical coordination during construction, monitored the on-site installation, and supported the pressure testing, quality control, and handover documentation. This ensured the connection between engineering and execution remained guaranteed throughout the entire project.

Result

By combining engineering, detailed design, and site support, a reliable high-pressure steam installation was realized that fully met the client's requirements.
