For a Hot-Strip-Mill upgrade in Wallonia, which is leader in supplying coils for various industries, (as well in the aviation as in the automotive sector), R-Tech approached this challenging project carefully with the necessary internal knowledge.

After going over the scope, our team went to work and worked out the necessary PFD's.

It became immediately clear to us, that since the project was in different phases and it was necessary to connect to old networks for different utilities, that we first had to find out on which old pipelines we would have to perform this.

Thanks to the 3D scanning technology we performed, we were able to determine the necessary TIE-ins to design our new piping installation. This without having an impact on the production, since we installed isolation traps during a maintenance outage.

Using our 3D scan, we were able to create a demolition scope, which was then executed phase by phase during the maintenance shutdown, so it could not have a risk on our planned shutdown.

We were able to estimate what equipments needed to be delivered for implementing engines, filters and skids.

Thanks to our AR technology, we could see if the construction method was feasible and accessible for any future maintenance.

As soon as the engineering documents were delivered, R-Tech moved on to the construction.

From that moment on, we followed the construction site and provided the necessary coordination for a smooth process during the co-activities.



This sometimes offered a challenge between the different disciplines. We also provided the necessary QAQC documents.
